Covid-19 Statement

As the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) continues to spread here in the UK, McCullagh Civils has updated it’s office and site operations to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of all its employees.

We now have new measures and procedures in place which are protecting our workforce and clients whilst we carry out our daily site activities. Our site teams are now fully functional and we are working at a full working capacity. Whilst our office is currently open we are not accepting any visitors at the moment. Some of our office staff are working from home to provide quotations, answer any project related queries and to be a point of contact for the site teams.

Covid-19 Risk Assessment

We have carried out risk assessments on every site to ensure the full safety of the staff. Changes to working on site include;

Reducing the number of people each person has contact with by using “fixed teams or partnering” (so each person works with only a few others).

Site Safety Checklists

During the pandemic it is essential that our workforce is protected to minimise the risk of infection on construction sites.

We have a range of checklists for all employees to ensure that they have a clear understanding & guidance on issues such as close working, masks, cleaning and what employees should do if they become unwell is included.

Dedicated Health and Safety Representative

At McCullagh Engineering we have appointed someone competent to help employees and staff to meet health and safety duties. They have the knowledge and experience to manage health and safety throughout this pandemic.

Staff Safety is Key

  • Social Distancing applies to all parts of a business, not just the place where people spend most of their time, but also entrances and exits, break rooms, canteens and similar settings.

  • Single person or contactless refuelling where possible.

  • Frequent cleaning of objects and surfaces that are touched regularly, including door handles, fuel pumps and vehicle keys, and making sure there are adequate disposal arrangements for cleaning products.

The situation is constantly evolving and we are monitoring the situation daily, if the Government enforces any further measures we will adapt wherever necessary to comply and will provide regular updates of our current status.
